The Many Live Action Batman Actors

Over the years, many actors have taken the cape and cowl and have become The Caped Crusader, making it their own. Each Batman is different from the rest. Bale's and Affleck's were the dark and serious Batman, whereas West's and Kilmer's were a bit more...campy. In a recent poll, people have voted for which actor they think portrayed Batman the best, based on the movies' storyline.

6. George Clooney Movie: Batman and Robin (1997)

This Batman had everything we didn't want! Bat-nipples, Bat-credit card, Bat-ice skates, an annoying Robin and cheesy, pun-making villains: Mr Freeze and Poison Ivy, who would team up, even though they have different desires and plans for Gotham, which just wouldn't work together at all. Ice and plants? I'm surprised that Mr Freeze and Poison Ivy didn't figure out Batman's secret identity in this movie, as Clooney didn't disguise his voice. Not even slightly. He just spoke as Bruce Wayne for the whole movie!

5. Val Kilmer Movie: Batman Forever (1995)

Oh, OK...a blonde Batman...sure? I don't even know how this Batman defeated Two-Face and The Riddler as he spent most nights in the movie as either, Bruce Wayne, flirting with Dr Chase Meridian or as Batman, flirting with Dr Chase Meridian. In my opinion, Chase Meridian made this Batman even worse than he was, when she made him do a cringy smile, which just put me off this Batman. But at least he doesn't have Bat-nipples, right!? Oh.....

4. Adam West Movie: Batman (1966)

Campy, fun, cheesy and the complete opposite of the Batman we know today! I wasn't around in the 60s' and to be honest, I've not seen very much of Adam West's Batman...but he must have been a good Batman for the 60s', right? His TV show got a movie and he was voted the fourth best Batman in the poll. I guess people enjoyed watching him as he was the first Batman on TV after Lewis Wilson and Robert Lowery, the two Batmans I know nothing about accept that they were serial shows in the 40s'...

3. Michael Keaton Movie: Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992)

To be honest, I thought this Batman would be first or second best Batman on the list as he was the first major Batman and is the reason people from the 80s' and 90s' era are still fans of Batman today! Keaton's Batman had an awesome Batmobile, a Batwing and three perfectly portrayed villains: Jack Nicholson's Joker, Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman and Danny Devito's Penguin! His Batman voice was disguised well and it showed no emotion, which is the way it should be when playing Batman (George Clooney...*sigh*).

2. Christian Bale Movie: Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

The Batman with the most movies so far (Affleck may over-take) with three movies that all give me goose bumps every time I watch them. Bale had a Tumblr tank as his Batmobile, a batwing, Morgan Freeman, a voice disguise and personally, my favourite Batsuit so far...Batman Begins showed us something we had never seen before, Batman's training and it went all out with villains we had never seen before: Cillian Murphy's Scarecrow and Liam Neeson's Ras al Ghul, which i think worked really well with Bale's Batman. The Dark Knight showed us villains we had seen before, but in a new, dark, perfect way: Heath Ledger's Joker, which worked extremely well with Bale's Batman and will go down in history and Aaron Eckhart's darker, more serious Two-Face than Tommy Lee Jones'.The Dark Knight Rises showed us one of the most famous scenes: how Bane broke the Bat, which was done really well and it showed us how Bale's Batman recovered from the broken back. And then, unfortunately, the trilogy ended with Batman and the Batwing going out with a bang...

1. Ben Affleck

Movie: Batman v Superman (2016)

After Ben Affleck's disappointing role of Daredevil in 2003, people were sceptical of his role as Batman in one of the most anticipated comic book movies ever: Batman v Superman. Despite all the hate and bad reviews the movie was given, it seems that, according to the poll, Aflleck's Batman is the majorities favourite Batman as for the first time ever, he is in a movie with Superman, which comic book fans have been waiting for, for a long time, and Affleck didn't disappoint, proving himself a memorable Batman as he battled The Man of Steel. I think it is safe to say that I am looking forward to how he will be involved in the up coming Suicide Squad movie...

Well, there we have it! Ben Affleck's Batman got the most votes and George Clooney's Batman (surprise, surprise!) got the least votes on the poll. Lets be honest though, there's probably someone out there who loved George Clooney's Batman and hated Ben Affleck's, Christian Bale's and Michael Keaton's Batman...
